Balancing my days with a morning job at TGI Fridays, I realized my true passion lay in working with dogs and being outdoors. Taking the leap, I transitioned into the world of professional dog walking, a decision fuelled by my love for dogs and the joy of spending time with Holly,and rufus who remained my faithful companion.

For nearly eight years, I immersed myself in the rewarding work of dog walking, relishing every moment spent with furry friends in nature's embrace. However, a turning point came during the lockdown period when I delved into online training resources, eager to expand my knowledge and skills.

Despite my growing interest in training, fear held me back from pursuing it professionally. Rufus, always by my side and my constant source of inspiration, was there as I wrestled with self-doubt. Tragically, Rufus bid us farewell in early 2022, leaving behind a void that seemed insurmountable.

Just before his passing, we brought Callie into our lives, a sweet soul who quickly became a cherished part of our family. Callie's presence brought light and purpose during a time of grief, and as she settled into her forever home with us, Rufus' legacy of love and companionship lived on.

It was Callie's unwavering support and the memories of Rufus that finally gave me the courage to take the leap into the training world. Together, Callie and I embarked on a new journey, laying the foundations of Rufus Training Academy, a tribute to the bond we shared and the passion for helping dogs reach their full potential.

Callie not only saved me from despair but also ignited a new chapter filled with hope, determination, and the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. Rufus will forever remain in our hearts, his spirit guiding us as we continue to spread love, knowledge, and positive training experiences at Rufus Training Academy.

Over the years, my passion for training dogs has grown and I am now a Certified and Accredited dog Training and DTC-CDT.
